Flash floods where seen across the country during May of 2018. One of the worse places hit was Birmingham, unfortunately two schools were devastated by these floods in the West Midlands during their half term which at the time meant that the schools were closed and unattended. Woodthorpe Primary School was one of the schools affected, the drains could not cope with the heavy rain fall and consequently backed up and failed. Arrow Services were informed of this at 11AM on Wednesday the 30th of May and rushed to site the same day to investigate. As the school was due to re-open on the following Monday, works to rip out, dry and repair began on that same day. The extent of the works included replacing all of the flooring, skirting and doors around the property that were affected by the floods to say the least as well as a full environmental clean and jetting / clearing of all the drains. Arrow Services worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure that the school could re-open for all of the children to attend as normal. The works were completed by Friday the 15th of June, allowing the school to open as planned on Monday the 18th of June. The headmaster was overjoyed with the work that was carried out as well as the continued commitment and professionalism showed by Arrow Services. A big thank you to everyone involved and all who helped day and night to ensure that the works were a success.
